yes we do!!! before the stop signs, commuters sped thru this section and local residents simply could not exit the sideroads onto S.Concord.

I think your wife Barbara was a Township commissioner who did not support these traffic restrictions on S. Concrd. However, as notedin a previous Township mtg, the vast majority of local residents do want them, we do not want S.Concord to become an alternate for cut thru traffic seeking to by-pass Rt202. The stop signs, speed controls and narrows should and must stay.

I respect your point of view. However, as a long timeresident (20+years), I remember the traffic and speeding issues prior to the stop signs and I recall nuemrous dead dogs and dead animals from cars speeding thru this area. The stop signs, even though they are really drift signs as no one ever comes to a complete stop, do slow people down, period. At lease people on the roads that feed inot S.Concord can get and out of thier developments more safely than when the stop signs were not there. I think safety concerns trump the driving inconvenience that others may feel due to the additional signs.

As I understand it, the issue of a bona fide traffic study is that thy can make recommendations that the local residents might not want e.g. removal of stop sign as a hypothtetical and then if the township did not implement the proposed recommendations, and an accident were to happen, the township could be sued as part of the possible acccident litigation. At least it has been explained to me that way. I simply want to make it as "inconvenent" and as much of a "pain in the Axx" to traverse S.Concord for those Deleware County and even N.J. commuters who would use it as a by=pass to RT202, trust me on this, if we remove the Stop Signs, speed bumps and were to make the narrows 2 way, we would all be very, very sorry, I just know the volume of traffic would increase 10fold on this small, scenic section of S. Concord and it would cause major issues for all of the roads that feed into it. Property values would be impacted as well as the safety issues that would be created.

Do you realize that typing in all bold charecters indicates that you are shouting ?
I am a 40 year resident of Thornbury Township and quite frankly we did not have the traffiic issues on S Concord road until they developed almost all of the parcels of land in this and the surrounding townships.You are part of the problem.The Board at the time were part of the solution!
That being said from my vantage point, the restrictions that were put into place were at the recomendation of I belive the then firm of Carrulo and Assoc.have indeed made it a safer road.The stop signs allow the residents who live on the adjoining streets the ability to enter onto Concord Road safely.NOT as you state for speed control. The speed humps however are there for that express purpose.

The firm probably would not appriciate your calling them a "fly by night enginering firm" and may have cause to address that comment in the future. Be careful what you pen your name to.
