Description
Quincy and Broadway, heading towards the library on Broadway is well marked for cycling and has a dedicated light for cyclists. As I was biking into work today, I stopped at the red cycling light and watched as 4 school kids drove through the red (one actually bumping the back of my bike because they were surprised I stopped at a red light…), while traffic had the green right turn arrow. It was a bit worrying as it seemed like they could have been right hooked by any of the vehicles who had a green turn arrow. I think there may be 2 solutions - 1 ) dedicated traffic personnel at this light at school opening similar to what you have at others and 2) move the dedicated bike red light to be more obvious - I wonder if they saw the straight arrow for the vehicle lane and thought it was ok to go

Thank you for reporting. At the time staff arrived, no issues were found. The bicycle signal is visible from the Broadway approach.
