Description

Route 9 is a huge road with heavy traffic, and contains
several businesses and even a few residences, as well.
More businesses though, including restaurants,
supermarkets, office complexes, stores, etc.
Route 9 has a speed limit in Manalapan and Freehold
and Marlboro of 55 MPH, which is too fast for
such a busy area with cars entering and exiting
the several businesses on the road. There are
also safety concerns with pedestrians who use
the NJ Transit bus line on Route 9, as there are
several crosswalks and people crossing Route 9
especially during rush hour. The speed limit in this area on 9
should be lowered to either 50 or perhaps 45 mph
to improve safety and have drivers slow down
and possibly save a life in this heavily developed
and huge traffic area.
