Description

There is a consistent traffic flow issue on Alameda both east bound in the morning commute and west bound in the afternoon commute. What I have observed is that duration of time the light is green on the north/south bound Jefferson is the cause of some of the delay. The duration of green light time on the north/south Jefferson is more then 45 sec and is not required for the amount of traffic traveling north/south. Cutting back the green light time to 20-30 seconds will improve traffic flow on a heavily traveled artery.
