Description

On behalf of North Town Woods: This concerns the work being done on the land parcel directly to the east of North Town Dr, which is between the Barn and NTW. We have spoken with Jay Harris, COBI Code Compliance officer and the property was permitted by COBI on a temporary basis for a storage facility for boats, RVs, etc. while the owner refurbishes another storage facility nearby. However, there is no clearing permit and the owner has been clearing trees and brush. The city had a meeting on this Friday, but Jay could not tell us exactly what was discussed.

We are concerned that a) large and small trees are being removed to make room for more boats and RVs, b) no buffer will be left on the adjacent property, only the buffer that belongs to NTW, c) improvements such as driveways, fences, etc. will be left indefinitely and d) we will have another storage facility on the island permanently.
