We currently have 500 requests throughout the City and very limited funds. We are doing our best to organize and prioritize. I am capturing every request and making sure they are heard as every area will be reviewed. I need more info from all those reading this.
The location shows Second St btwn Monmouth and Brunswick, but also mention of blowing a stop sign. Are these both stop signs? One more than the other? More than just this block?
Solutions mentioned: Curb extensions (pedestrian safety plus tightening of turns) and speed humps.
Any other solutions you all want to propose?

I represent the City so this is us being accountable. There is a lot of funding from both the City and grant funding that we chase after, but it is a matter of the amount of requests and being able to prioritize these based on a number of factors, including proximity to a park or school, etc. My job right now is to make sure I understand the issues and the geographical area of concern. Then I package it in an easy way for the Traffic and transportation engineers and planners to digest quickly.
In addition, we understand community activism and partnering with the communities and residents/business owners directly impacted... SCF is a great tool, if the City is using it. I need your input and I am so grateful that so many are engaged. I hope to earn your trust back.
For the speed humps, this is community and Council driven:
