Description
The mayor's office has allowed the building the Waterfront Park property to fall into disrepair. The roof is collapsing, an old battery (hazardous waste) sits next to the building and the walls are adorned with racial slurs and obscenities. Taxpayers are paying over $100,000 a year in debt on the property and the mayor cannot even manage the building. It is a dangerous and a significant risk. It must be removed.

The mayor claims thatt he has been unable to pursue this project because of the "recession", but that rings hollow.
He has nearly $400,000 in cash and a State EPF grant NOW and it can ONLY be used for this project. He is also sitting on $100s of thousands in the City's Recreation Trust Fund.

do one better...Rent it to a business that does Kayaks or Icecream or hotdogs for boaters....maybe even bait for the fishheads. Put it on for a 2 or 3 year lease. renter gets to add sales tax and take care of property that the city doesn't have money for...a Win WIn for all!
maybe add dock space for a few boats and put that revenue in the city accounts instead of letting it sit idle....Do It now so a business can operate in the spring time...this has nothing to do with the mayor's office but someone like the mayor needs to steal my idea and run with it!
