Many people either miss the sign and go right through or during the winter it becomes dangerous to stop there due to icey road conditions. Having the lights would make it a safer intersection.
Thanks For the comment. The City is in the process of having the stop sign removed and installing flashing CPR signals. This project was initiated in March of 2011 with Canadian Pacific Railway. Because it is their rail line they must carry out the work. Unfortunately CPR has stated they will not be able to accomodate the work this year, even though the City is fully funding the project. We expect the project to be completed in 2012.

Crossing lights will help, but removing the tracks altogether is better. We were told in 1998 these would be gone within five years .... this has been a long five years!
