In-road "yield-to-pedestrians" signs are removed from intersections throughout the city during the winter months in anticipation of inclement weather and roadway plowing. The signs will be replaced in the spring. The Division of Traffic Engineering is also looking into implementing other traffic calming measures to help make these crossings safer.
