Description
The womens locker room at the pool at the WH High school is beyond disgusting! The floors are covered with black goop (I think the little smaller black rice-like objects may be from the a mice having a party, while larger black globs are just built up dirt), the tile walls moldy, and the "marble" walls so slimy that brown crud is on your fingers if you accidentally touch the shower walls. There is a BandAid that has been under one of the benches by the shower that has been there for weeks! The air vents are coated with a very thick layer of dust. Calling the Board of Ed or Park & Rec Depts is a joke- we just get referred back and forth, or transferred to a dialtone. I can't believe the Board of Health hasn't shut this down. The pool was closed for over a month to work on the pool itself, which was great to see work getting done, but you'd think maybe someone would have cleaned the locker rooms at some point in time in the past year.

Ugh..sounds disgusting. Send me your name, address and phone number, kept strictly confidential, and I will be happy to try and get the area cleaned up.

I've been hoping this got cleaned-for the past year! I tried making phone calls to city people too, to no avail.
So, to avoid my personal items from getting covered with germs, mold, and slime, I speed paper towels out under everything I own. This is wasteful, and I feel bad about killing trees by using so much paper, but otherwise I fear for my health in that locker rom!

need to shower home after taking a shower at the pool (Guest)
It has gotten worse, not better. Other than the BandAid getting picked up, everything is really filthy, with mop streaks in the mold on the floor where the BandAid had been (so someone at least ATTEMPTED to do something, but the fact there are lighter streaks in the brown crud just brings more attention to the goop on the floor, and mold on the tile and marble shower walls and shelves).
There are tons of food crumbs by the pool under the white storage containers, so at least the rodents are well-fed...
Who is responsible for cleaning this locker room and pool area? Apparently nobody. Maybe all of us who use the pool should bring our own mops, sponges and cleaners next time we go?
P.S. Sorry Eleanor, I will not put my name or address on this, since the last time I gave my name when calling a city official regarding this, my car was vandalized the next time I went to the pool. There is no way that was a coincidence, since I never encountered vandalism at the pool parking lot before or after that day.
