This does need serious trimming back. Its hard to see if anything is coming at you. Would appreciate knowing if there is any type of scheduled clean up on the roundabouts in our area. This one seems to always be overgrown.
Agreed, I was almost hit by an SUV on Thursday driving to work because it cut across (instead of going around the roundabout) and I did not see it coming. The other roundabout on 47th is pristine, I am confused why that one is maintained and this one is not.
Agreed, Nicolette!. That's the other challenge with roundabouts and this one in particular...I'd say a good percentage of people don't understand how to use them correctly.
I've been complaining since the first of May that this needs to be cut. However, it seems like once the request is transferred to the appropriate department, it's totally ignored. I live on 47th Street and, quite frankly, have not seen any change in the traffic heading north on 47th. The other morning, a car came down 47th and did not stop or even slow down at the intersection before continuing on. Had another car been coming, there would have been a serious accident.
Thank you for contacting the Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Division for the City of Richmond. Based on the information you provided we have assigned a Code Enforcement Inspector to go to the location and inspect the property for any and all code violations.
