65th street recently saw a huge community improvement through the undergrounding of utility lines and installation of much better lighting, but 66th street was neglected in this effort. If we truly want Emeryville to be a walkable city, we need to invest in this sort of improvement in all residential stretches... not just selective ones.

Last year we had a transformer fire at 66th and the greenway. Last week, a power line came down right in front of the Liquid Sugar building. It's clear that these are old lines that are subject to failure and, frankly, present a safety concern.
Please. Take these lines underground!
