Please replace the lights on the posts inside the 1st Street municipal parking lot soon.

I also suggest some police presence to patrol the lot at night. There people staying in cars smoking marijuana. Some people coming from the resto bars are drunk loud and rowdy on weekends, Thank you.

The City's DPW is planning to install new LED lights on the center post. They are researching what will bolt to the existing pole easily before ordering.

Any suspected illegal activity should be reported directly to the Police Department so that it can be immediately addressed.

A request for more regular patrols of the parking lot will be sent to the JCPD.

Please consider additional lighting in addition to replacing the center pole as there are several dark corners. I have had to call the police dept multiple occasions and it should not have to be residents’ responsibility to monitor municipal lots in residential neighborhoods for dangerous activities and nightly violations of the noise ordinance. Thank you.

What’s the status on the lighting research? i just called JCPD again for loud drunk people playing music from their cars and yelling after midnight. This is a Sunday night and is happening more frequently throughout the week, not just weekends. Jersey City officials should prioritize taking care of their citizens and stop this municipal parking lot from being an ongoing safety and wellness concern.
