Better than a traffic light might be some of those traffic shaping curb bump outs so that it is harder to speed through down the hill.

Could we also please have an update on the Newark ave bike lane that was supposed to be installed last year?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We will conduct a preliminary traffic assessment to determine what type of traffic control is warranted at this intersection. The preliminary assessment will also help identify if a more in-depth study is required. Please allow 4 to 6 months for preliminary study to be completed.

Any update?

Saw someone get hit here today. He wasn't hurt, fortunately. But this intersection is so unsafe for pedestrians. There's no street lighting, which makes it worse. There's a street light beyond and another just before this intersection. But the crosswalk is in the dark.

There are a lot of lights out and we are working on it with PSE&G. This is really bad. I am really glad that the person is alright. Street lighting is the first step.

How weird is it that they call Newark Ave, Hill Street, at this location.

I really want to know the history here, if any, or if Google is just getting creative.
