The road surface condition at the intersection at Pawling ave, rte 2 and rte 66 in Troy is very dangerous and difficult to navigate (especially on a motorcycle or scooter!). There are huge pot hole, bumps, sunken drain covers and surface irregularities throughout the entire intersection. Troy Should step up and repave this entire intersection before someone gets hurt in an accident caused by the neglected road.

Lots of tax paying citizens travel through this area daily. I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned this before.

My car has gotten beaten up from my daily commute in that area especially when making a right onto Pawling Av when traveling East on Congress St! Can I get the city to pay for my damages?

I too drive this to work. Going to need an alignment every 3 months at this rate. The right hand turn from Congress to Pawling ave is absolutely terrible for vehicles.

On a bike it is literally a death-trap waiting for the next unsuspecting visitor.

also, the big dips in front of the apartment bld.. and the old shut down bar across from Stewarts. and the beginning of Rt #2 might as well be a dirt road,, the ride would improve!

That intersection is scheduled for rebuild as part of the Congress Street project, I believe and that construction is partly to blame for the current conditions. Hopefully you'll see an improvement by this summer.

This is definitely a safety problem, and I wouldn't be surprised at extensive damage to the suspensions of cars when people go through that turn if they're unfamiliar with the war-zone like terrain of this intersection.
