Please be advised that this was previously reviewed and it was determined not to be feasible due to the effect this would have on the of level of service to traffic on Jonesboro Road. Please reconsider this issue, or consider closing the Oak Grove entrance to the parking lot on the corner of Jonesboro and Oak Grove. The entrance to that parking lot is the main factor in what causes this intersection to be so dangerous. However a left turn signal would be preferable to allow right hand turns into the parking lot from Oak Grove.

This signal is still currently under maintenance and ownership of GDOT. Our DOT continues to try and work with GDOT to complete another study of the area to determine a plan moving forward. Our staff has been out onsite as recent as yesterday, August 16, 2022 to study the area again. Updates will be provided as they are received, but you may contact our DOT office and GDOT for any updates or further concerns. The numbers are 770.288.7623 and 877.957.4368, respectively.
