Description
I emailed the following to Cliff last Friday and haven't recieved any response yet. I checked environmental because that appears to be the department that deals with the overlay district in Crystal Beach but it is not a mangrove issue.
Good afternoon, I lhave some concerns about a permit for a single family dwelling at 689 Vincent Street in Crystal Beach. There is a cluster of trees that will need to be removed for the proposed construction and they may fall under the 1.24.3 policy that relates to the Crystal Beach Community Overlay. I don't have access to the plans or arborist report so but it looks like all but three of the trees in the cluster will need to be romved. Will this have impacts on the remaining three trees and will they survive without the support that the cluster provides? I understan development is the owners right and just wanted to verify that the appropriate steps and codes have been met before the tree removal beings. Attached are a couple of pictures. I tried leaving a mesage at your 464-3923 number and was not able to. If you would like to discuss instead of email my name and contact info are below

There has been no inspection request since our last email on 3/21/22.
Thanks for the update and I appreciate the detailed response. I expected that they would be able to remove the trees, just wanted to verify they were following the appropriate procedure. If you hear anyting else would appreciate knowing about it.
Thanks
ES

Morning,
We have not received any request for inspection at which time we would evaluate the trees on site. I however sent the provided overlay document to both the Zoning Dept and CO Atty for input. It was determined that if they are complying with code the trees may be permitted for removal. The code requires inch for inch compensation for good quality trees which fall outside of the building footprint that are being requested for removal. Therefore , the final determination of the tree removal, replacement or retention wont be made until we are requested to inspect the parcel.
