The City of Detroit Street Maintenance have CLOSED this service request. The City of Detroit Ordinance, the property owner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the sidewalk and driveway approach, including repair of damaged sidewalk, service walk (the walkway between the curb and the sidewalk) and driveway approach. The city will make exceptions if the sidewalk has been uplifted by root growth from trees located between the sidewalk and the street (city trees) under the "Tree Guarantee Policy". Our goal is to reduce inconveniences and promote safe travels within the City of Detroit.
