This is a daily issue. It’s so incredibly frustrating especially now that it’s getting nicer out and more people are biking. Unfortunately the city never does anything about it- they don’t care about biker’s rights. They’ll respond to this request hours last just saying “gone upon arrival” or “issue not found”.

So sad how the city turns a blind eye to people being blatantly ignorant like this. Once one person did it the rest followed and it’s been like this for months. Bike lanes are just parking lanes I guess :)

The solution is either ruthlessly increased enforcement, or preferably infrastructure that physically prevents motorists from entering the bike lane.

I agree. I’m tempted to put up papers that tell bikers if they’re annoyed to report via this app. One thing we could do is just report it as much as we see it and get as many people to report.

But again (clearly) this system doesn’t work well as they don’t address the request until hours later. Usually around 4-6 hours.

Perhaps I'll make a new game of seeing how many 311 reports I can make at this spot during a given happy hour!

Those reports are public data that can be acquired by public information requests and analyzed for use while commuting with city officials and elected representatives.
