The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request # 530830. Please check back for status updates or contact us directly at (510) 615-5566.
Thank you for contacting the Department of Public Works, but additional information will be needed before your service request can be processed. Can you please give a detailed description of what is being reported? This information will help us better process your request. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
I believe the City of Oakland employees and elected officials considers 32nd and Filbert as a hazardous for there health location. The residents need understand this. Time to drop Jean Quan off there to do a little camping. A week or so would help to enlighten her to THE GALACTIC PROBLEM.
Yes Mc, they need the details. What is the problem we want them to address? That way, they send the appropriate response. It's not unreasonable for them to ask, but it is unreasonable for you to expect they will jump to handle an issue that you have not articulated. Each issue (homeless encampments, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, etc.) are handled differently. If we want the City's help, we need to work with them and not be condescending, andt hat means being patient and articulating our problems without blaming the innocent City workers who are doing their best.
Those who read these and respond have no power to do ANYTHING. I work in City government here in the Bay Area and understand this well. Cut the lower level workers a break. We need to organize and take this to the City Manger, City Attorney, and the Mayors Office. Complaining on here to someone with no power to change policy or procedures gets us no where.
I don't want to hear more speeches about how we have an illegal dumping mess in Oakland. We know that. I want to hear specifics about how it will be addressed.

The seeclickfix platform isn't set up for irony :-). Perhaps Rebecca Kaplan would like to give another campaign speech there.
