JC, note that these curb spots are taken from others, and never rotate.

I understand if homes are abandoned and require curb rebuild but if 2 cars are fitting in a space for 1 (as most the case) or in this case 4 fit where 2 would be, how it makes any sense putting all 4 out in the street now consuming MORE space.. but whatever. It’s a problem this town will NEVER rectify thats 100% for certian, so let’s keep the arguments going. WooHoo

Your comment makes sense only to a degree. Your equation has missing element of public access to street side parking on rotating basis. What you see on picture never rotates among the public. Instead crook from out of town rolled in, made illegal driveway, and rents it out. As you see, there is nobody there and still you cannot use public curbside parking at all. Not to mention that entry for two of them was made in front of a pole, requiring dangerous maneuvering on sidewalk to park like that. If legal driveway allowed, then curb cut 8 feet only, and a fence should be permitted, so no pulling doughnuts on sidewalk are required.

Well if that’s the case (landlord and not owner on premises) than by all means block it off/being back the curb. My point only applies to a owner occupied building where (by my example) 2 spaces take up only 8-10ft, which would be 2 cars off street where only 1 would fit publicly. It’s a shame the city has no interest in fixing and or collecting a yearly permit revenue through such a simple process.
