Close the blog and/or demand more information as to why "nothing can be done," then open a new blog and tell us all why nothing cam be done.

I have a perfect idea to fix this problem. As mentioned properties will have to be condemned and probably BILLIONS of dollars will have to be spent. I think they should build a wall around the neighborhood and make sure that water pumps are there to pump the water out. I looks like you live almost at sea level. Since this the case another option is to tear down all the houses and move in a lot of dirt so that you can be more than 10 feet above sea level. If your fellow residents are blocking drains maybe you should talk with them to see if they can remove it as there yards are flooding as well. You are right storm drains are going to require upgrades and taxes will be raised for these upgrades just wait for taxes to go up and then they can fix all of your problems. Look at Norfolk many areas flood any time it rains because they are at sea level. I have even seen water come up the storm drains during some high tides. Another simple solution if you don't like being at sea level is to move from the neighborhood.

Duh! City issue city will fix. the water drain budget is passed. Leave the free blog open untill tt is fixed and then and only then close it!
