Description
This city of New Haven employee, on a Sunday afternoon at 4, drove the wrong way down Linden Street, a one-way street. He drove to Foster, and from there went to Willow, then Orange, before executing a u-turn to park directly in front of Romeo & Cesare's in the "No parking" area pictured in the photo.
Between the parks department guys and the Board of Ed truck (not to mention police) I see this type of driving from city employees on a daily basis in my neighborhood.
Is there any way to get these guys to drive safely and legally?

I've spoken with city department heads about the fact that city vehicles ignore signals and drive dangerously. However I never receive any follow up on what actions were taken, despite multiple requests for a response.
If the city wants citizens to ignore these problems, then they are doing a great job making citizens feel like they are wasting their time even bothering to report them.

I know exactly the spot your are talking about and yes it is usual the city vehicles that set the horrible example park where they want to.
Keep doing what your doing, don't change. Just remember. YOU work for US and sooner or later that will end

I spoke to Robert Levine, Director of Parks, who let me know that he had issued a verbal reprimand.
The employee was working, made a mistake and drove down the wrong way, and apologized for that.
Levine told me that he would continue to reiterate to his staff that they must park legally as well.
Thanks for commenting & watching this issue. I'm closing it because I'm happy with Levine's actions and response. Very appropriate response from a city official.
