P.S. Lack of response seems to be the course of action even after citizens (including myself) report specific license plates, times, circumstances, characteristics of drivers, etc., just as Streever did here.

David - We are supposed to drive safely and legally. At the Health Dept we even took a defensive driving class. We have three vehicles which nine staff share for direct service work. It is easy to figure out who has what car based on a sign out sheet.

There has been an increased number of vehicles driving the wrong way down Linden lately. Certainly City employees should be setting a positive example. The block is chock full of young children who are being endangered by this behavior.

I know exactly the spot your are talking about and yes it is usual the city vehicles that set the horrible example park where they want to.

Keep doing what your doing, don't change. Just remember. YOU work for US and sooner or later that will end

I spoke to Robert Levine, Director of Parks, who let me know that he had issued a verbal reprimand.

The employee was working, made a mistake and drove down the wrong way, and apologized for that.

Levine told me that he would continue to reiterate to his staff that they must park legally as well.
