This was reported to Codes and Building Safety on July 25, 2011 - Codes has issued notice and the owner has until September 9, 2011 to correct all violations such as exterior repairs...however there was no mention of illegal dumping. Could you be more specific as to what has been dumped and exactly where it was dumped.
The type of stuff being dumped is broken concrete and paving materials. Large quantities, multiple dump trucks worth. They are also starting to park the dump trucks on the property.
This is unusual as the owner is making exterior repairs - but you are claiming the proeprty is being used as a dump site...is this correct? Are these items being buried on this proeprty?
The address is approximate. I used the address posted on the sign in front of the dumping. Yes, there is large ongoing dumping of dump truck size loads. Mostly broken concrete and asphalt. They are now parking the dump trucks on the property as well.
Illegal dumping under our Code is where dumping is occurring on vacant lots, at the end of right-of-ways, etc.....but you are stating these items are being brought in and placed on a residential zoned property. The property is actually zoned AR2a - Agricultural - having 5.08 acres. The owner could be using for fill material, which we will have to investigate. I cannot say this is legal or not until inspected.
However, Codes has cited the owner of this proeprty for open storage of junk, trash, debris as well as inoperable vehicles when we were on the site August 11, 2011. The owner has until September 9, 2011 to correct these violations. At our time of inspection we did not see the activity that has just been reported. Also, agricultural land may have many uses related to it's use. So Codes will have to ask the owner what is being done with this material.
