Description

The cross light signal does not work. It is difficult for me and my family to cross the street. There are several schools in the vicinity plus a public park. A non-working crossing walk light is a disaster waiting to happen. This is my second complain to the city regarding the light and nothing has been done.

Its not been working for years including the one on the Hartley Park side of the street in front of Mandela School. I started reporting it appropriately 6 months ago.

I was calling Traffic Department reporting the one at 300 Gramatan since the Thomas administration and how many years later the status hasn’t changed.

I called public works on 2020 as well. It’s unconscionable. When the STEAM school is let out the students walk in the middle of the street impeding traffic. No working lights! No cross guard! No police!
The city is getting money from the governor I hope some of it will fix the lights

We are fortunate to be receiving $150M for the sewer which I’m happy about. We already have infrastructure monies given to us that can include fixing the lights at the crosswalks.

The crosswalks at 300 Gramatan were rewired and the crosswalks are working now
