Description

There's a lot of pedestrian traffic crossing Denny and Olive between the two lights at Broadway and Melrose, and there's a lot of car traffic that comes swiftly down Denny and Olive. Aside from the aforementioned traffic lights, there aren't any marked pedestrian crossings on either of those streets in a high traffic area that's also on a curve and a slope.

This situation is only going to get worse as large trucks use Denny and Olive to get to and from the Broadway light rail station site and I-5. I've been emailing SDOT for over a year about this issue, but only ever heard that they were "maybe looking at" putting in a pedestrian crossing on Boylston at Olive.
