Hi! Here’s a couple suggestions for handling these type of situations:
1. If it doesn’t impact your ability to enter / exit your home and isn’t blocking your ability to move about the earth, ignore it.
2. If you just can’t mind your own business, try talking to the person and tell them how you feel. Maybe they will go out of their way to help you feel better.
3. Try moving! There are several other cities and states that utilize taxpayer dollars to enforce things like legally parked cars. You might find they are a better fit. Even better, go somewhere without neighbors so you can have full control of what you see everyday. It’s ok, not everybody can handle the stress of a neighborhood.
4. Seek therapy. It can’t be good for your mental health to be bothered by things like this. You may want to try therapy or reach out to groups that identify as safe spaces.
5. Join the police department! You can go enforce the laws that annoy you and take it out on unsuspecting citizens who are just living their life. Take out the middle man and do it yourself! Just keep in mind, you can’t be anonymous and have to pass a psychological test to be a cop (see #4).
Anyway, I hope these help. It must be difficult to get through a day when you are so distraught about somebody’s car you spend the time to take pictures and involve the town and police.
