Description

The area between the bridge (over the Farmington Canal) at Hamden Hills & Sherman Lane up to 1 Sherman Lane particularly on the eastbound side (across the street from Pheonix Landscaping) has become a dumping area for trash. It is getting worse every day and going for a walk is not pleasant. This area is a walking route to the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail and there is a wetland along the embankment that lies adjacent to the road. I would like to request that the trash be cleaned up and possibly a sign posted "Fine X$ for Littering". It is an easy place for motorists to dump there trash due to the lack of residential homes in this area.
