People already drive too fast on this stretch and raising the speed limit will only make it worse. It is now hard to make a left turn onto Heights in areas with curves- which is most of it. We have to walk a block to the bus and in the winter only have a little space to walk in. Some cars slow down, but others speed right on by. I think the increased speed is bad news. Kids ride their bikesor walk to the party store around curves with no shoulder.

A woman was was involved in a hit and run on Heights last week! She had taken her daughter to the bus stop and was hit walking back home.

Ok,We all know these problems are happening. As parents we need to stand together and go to a city meeting. I was almost hit walking to get my mail its a complete hazard on Heights and Hemingway is being used as a cut off from 24 . Speed limit 40 on the dirt side is crazy. Peeople have been hit what more is it going to take to be heard?

I would be willing to go to the township with a group of neighbors! I think they have an open meeting the first Tuesday of every month. Anyone else want to join us?
