Strongly agree. The picture shows the intersection of 5th and Brunswick. Given the proximity to a daycare, it is especially important. The number of accidents and near misses here is unacceptable. A stop sign and a speed bump on both Brunswick and 5th is necessary. Drivers drive without care here and daily nearly hit children going to PS5 and the Brunswick School.

I can't change the location on the post but just to clarify, this request is for 5th and Brunswick as one of the other comments says.

I flagged the intersection of 5th & Brunswick on SeeClickFix in May of 2021 after multiple incidents. The complaint was acknowledged but nothing was ever done or communicated that the city was aware of or on top of this problem. I myself have called 911 too many times after accidents that occur outside of my living room window. At the suggestion of another commenter I will try reaching out to James Solomon with a stop sign request.

I strongly agree too. Drivers coming down 5th from Newark Ave all too often do not stop for pedestrians or even for other cars coming from Brunswick. It's a daily occurrence and honestly very surprising there haven't been more accidents there by now.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We will conduct a preliminary traffic assessment to determine what type of traffic control is warranted at this intersection. The preliminary assessment will also help identify if a more in-depth study is required. Please allow 4 to 6 months for preliminary study to be completed

@Victor Owusu, a traffic assessment from my 5/5/2021 complaint should have been in the works (Request ID 9851757) according to "Jennifer C" who acknowledged my complaint on 5/25/2021 at 12:08pm. Do you have the results from that assessment?
