Thank you for your inquiry. This vegetation is not owned or maintained by the City. This vegetation is privately owned. Following your complaint, a notice to correct was issued to the property owner.
This has not been corrected and pedestrians have to walk in the street. I would think that since the city is responsible for sidewalks they would have some exposure if a pedestrian was injured buy a car.
This responsibility to maintain the sidewalk (free and clear of obstructions) is on the private property owner.
Upon receipt of a complaint of a right of way issue, the City performed an inspection, and issued a correction notice to the responsible private property owner. A follow up inspection will be performed after the passing of the deadline in their notice.
