You should call UPS or FEDEX and USPS ask them to leave packages on back porch from now on in this neighborhood. This was a problem a few years ago in this neighborhood and the delivery services agreed to start leaving packages on back porches, but have reverted to leaving them on the front porches again. On our street one block over, someone tried to steal all four of the WHEELS off a car parked on the street just a couple weeks ago. If people are going to try to steal wheels off of a huge SUV, they certainly will just grab packages off a front porch. I bet if you put packages on the front porch of any house in New Haven, most will not last an hour, much less an afternoon! Sad, but true.
