This strip is very dangerous! The speed limit increases to 40mph along this portion of the road and almost everyone speeds. This makes it very hard to even pull out of driveways safely. There are also small children in the area and the ability to cross the street to the lake frontage safely is a difficult and scary task. I have even tried children crossing signs, cones, and flags when the children are out but it doesn't seem to slow anyone down. There have been numerous automotive accidents, lawn jobs, lake plunges and many potentials I have witnessed as sightseers overlook the activity on the lake while driving. The speed limit should be decreased to 25mph, monitored, and guard rails should be put up to prevent the possibility of both pedestrian and automotive fatalities in this area.
