Description
Resident previously reported drainage issue. Adding to SeeClickFix to better manage the issue.
Resident states "In May of 2012 the City stabilized the runoff ditch (the long green line in the figure below) with rip-rap after complaints of private property erosion.
Over time some of the rip-rap has fallen into the center of the ditch and impedes the flow of water. The rip-rap is too large for my husband to move so the water continues to puddle and the fallen rip-rap impedes the flow of water. In addition, in several places when it rains hard, water is redirected by the fallen rip-rap and undercuts the banks of the ditch. It has particularly damaged the bank near the top on the long green line where the sewer line crosses the ditch.
I am requesting the City survey the damage and fallen rip-rap to determine how best to alleviate the problems caused by high water flow."

When asked if additional washout had occurred since the last time we were out there, the resident stated "I have attached two photos of the recent erosion of the ditch taken today. The areas indicated by a blue line di not exist two years ago. The second picture shows some broken concrete pieces my husband and our neighbor threw into the bank of the ditch to slow the erosion."

City Engineer was working on securing the report and recommendation from the prior engineer on the drainage ditch. Possible data corruption had occurred & he was trying to restore that data.
I followed-up with engineer today. Awaiting a response.
