Wouldn't it be great if any of our progressive officials had the courage to enforce Oakland's Municipal Codes, instead of allowing half of Oakland that is drowning in filth, graffiti, homelessness, human feces, hypodermic needles and garbage to get progressively worse.

CM Carroll Fife in an interview aired on KTVU 2 April 11th, 2022, regarding the on-duty security guard for one of Oakland’s community cabin sites on the 3400 block of Mandela Parkway for homeless people who was shot and killed last Thursday and the man from the homeless camp on Wood St. who ran across the street with a pick axe and started smashing a car with somebody in it.

We were told that she was not aware of either incident.

She said, “we could be doing much more on how we address these issues”
We were told she said the City council creates policy but does not have the power to enforce them, and that she needs the support of the City, the County and the State to address the problems like homelessness and mental illness.

She said, “I beg the business community let’s organize, I hear you and I feel you because umm.. it’s challenging.”
