The Red Maple that was confirmed having a choking root is struggling. Can Davy take a look at it to see if more of the culprit root can be cut to relieve the stress the tree is suffering. Thanks!

I am watering the tree out front and it is hanging on by a thread. Is Davy watching it slowly loose foliage in sections of upper branches.
We hate the thought of loosing it.. . If we do can a larger start replace it? Thanks, Mike Paradise

Morning Sir.
I am keeping a watchful eye on your Red Maple, nearly daily as I drive to and from work. I appreciate your concern. I believe the heat is causing lots of our young midsized trees to stress. So I am not ready to call your tree done yet. I am remaining hopeful that it will recover. I just talked to Nik. He is suggesting due to heat a morning and evening watering 5 minutes each would be helpful.

they / we will reassess the health of the tree after leaf out this spring. At that time we will determine the next steps.

It's promising to see some healthy buds on the tree. I am hopeful it will rebound. There are still a lot of dead limbs apparent, however.
Thanks,
Mike

Now that the teee is budding, it's evident the top most branches are dead. Would it make sense to have Davy trim it out to give the living branches a more fighting chance?
Thanks,
Mike

The tree was removed by Davey Tree on June 15th. I asked if they would be grinding the stump and replacing the tree and they told me they only has a work order to remove the blighted tree?
Please let me know when there will be a follow up on the tree.
Thanks,
Mike Paradise
