Description
What's the justification for such abrupt 'bump's (raw transitions to new paving) and steel plates breaching highway lanes? We hit these daily leaving SLC/80E; can't believe they are still in place.. it's been weeks. These will blow out a tire eventually! They are just under the overhanging sign halfway between cameras at MP 127.97 / 129.2. Thanks.

The metal plates were necessary to protect concrete that had been poured at the site of several drains in the median - the plates are being removed as soon as the concrete reaches sufficient strength.
