It's impassable by someone in a wheelchair or with a visual impairment. We discovered it while doing the Lansing Walkability Audit which we conduct from the perspective of persons with disabilities including visual and physical challenges that affect mobility.

Typically sidewalks are the responsibility of the land owner not the government.

This stretch of sidewalk at Madison and Walnut was repaired in conjunction with the gas line upgrades by Consumers power in the fall of 2013.
