When this happens go into the police sub station in city hall and report it. or call it in if no one is there. Enough complaints and they MIGHT do something- then again I saw the DT District Manager park in a handicap spot to get coffee- (yes I saw you)(only acceptable for emergencies)

Update: this is still an issue (not that I thought it was going to go away overnight). This morning, I walked between two adjacent entry ways, 10 feet apart, on Chapel Street between Orange and Church. I was harassed and wolf-whistled in both instances.

Eyes and Ears -- thanks for the suggestion, though I have pretty limited hopes as to that accomplishing anything. Connecticut has laws that govern disorderly conduct and street harassment (http://www.stopstreetharassment.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/SSH-KnowYourRights-StreetHarassmentandtheLaw-20131.pdf) I just wish they were enforced.

I am so happy somebody else reported this. The harassment here is UNREAL. I've been yelled at, followed, blocked from walking, made to feel very unsafe. Unlike any other city I've lived.

I'm a guy and don't get harassed, but I hate hearing that this still exists in this day and age. Next time take a video (or have a friend take a video) and send it to NHPD.

I am interested to know if there is any interest in coming up with and implementing a campaign against harassment in our city. I for one am sick to death of it. I like the idea of posters, fliers, videos, more police presence/involvement, willingness to report and prosecute offenders or ANYTHING! Ladies... we have to stand up for ourselves and girls of our city, or no one will. We MUST report, record and address these men however scary that may be. We must make a noise so loud as to reach every corner of our city and beyond that enough is enough. We want the men of our city and men from elsewhere to know, that New Haven is a city that does not tolerate sexual harassment and me must demand this level of action from our lawmakers.
