This has been turned over to the Planning & Permits Dept. We will research the approved subdivision plat to determine any drainage structures that exist, ownership, and responsible party for maintenance, and issue a Notice. We will update once more information is found.

Our apologies, but due the complexity of this issue and staff turnover, we were delayed in addressing this concern. The drainage area in question is a private drainage facility, to be maintained by a Property Owners Association upon completion of the subdivision, but a POA never formed. Previous staff had been in contact with the company who holds title, and they would prefer to turn it over to the neighborhood, but since a POA does not exist, further discussion with Public Works and City officials is needed to determine an appropriate response. We will extend the due date on this item, as staff determine what options exist for resolving the concerns on this issue.

I would appreciate any further discussion with the Public Works, City Council or City Attorney to see if there could be some way to have the drainage ditch cleaned out.

Since its a private drainage facility, it seems the owners are responsible for keeping the ditch clean.

The trees are growing and I'm very concerned if the trees should fall on my home. Dead tree limbs/leaves are covering the drainage opening.

Any additional help in resolving this matter would be appreciataed.
