Another "CORNER STORE"???
Please people.. this is a food service establishment and those guys worked real hard to set that up.
What's the big deal? i gues you enjoy seeing all the empty store-fronts resemblant of our depressed economy...
I see that two block stretch of storefronts is a GHOST TOWN!!

i'm confused here...
this address goes back to the corner business, which is a food business..
if there's any gripe here maybe it would be that the food is "fast" food and the healthiness of it, but i don't think this is going to be a "ghetto" joint..
it was a pizzeria previously...
so, where does this ghetto grocery store stuff come from??? idk

One of your post asks why all the hub bub about corner stores. Look around, especially come to NC/Uptown, where there is a store on every corner sometimes two. They all sell the exact same items, at mostly the exact same prices. One starts to ask themselves, why? Only one that I can see is legit out of all of these stores. Now the same pattern is repeating itself in N. Lansingburgh, and to follow will be Barber shops and Urban clothing. If the same pattern falls true as in NC/Uptown these stores are fronts, every one of them. We have Barbers shops that have become hang outs from early morning till late into the night . Our corner stores have become home base for drug runners and passing drugs off to vehicles and OUR neighborhood children are their first recruits for this business. I base what I have said in this conversation on FACT, and I see the same coming your way. No one in this town will ever push away legitimate business and would welcome with open arms anything other than these types of stores. Maybe, just maybe this one store is different, go and visit. Is there any fresh fruits and veggies? Or is the first thing you see are the crack pipes, oops I mean tobacco pipes. Is there advertising for beer and cigarettes at the level a child can easily see. Can you buy loosies? Do they give you a receipt even on small purchases????? If the later is true, watch out how close another store will open up, and watch what happens to the neighborhood.

Oh, Mysticmandy,
I forgot to mention the trash that litters these stores from corner to corner and is another issue that plagues the NC/Uptown area. I am sure it is quite noticeable when you drive thru.

i was just trying to clarify between a "corner store" and a "pizzeria"/food service establishment...
i believe the corner storefront at issue is set up for a pizzeria/food place.
* not at all in a fog about the issue of the encroaching ghetto/gang mentality that does(iagree) spread like cancer through our cities nationwide :(
still - freedom of enterprise ADD no loitering signs
my best to all = good luck

must add, that i am not oblivious to that illegal behavior
i'm from newburgh,ny - trust i've seen it and i see where your concern comes from
