I clicked and dragged the marker for Lake Ronkonkoma and didn't see anything pop up as to which Town it belongs to. I know its the Town of Brookhaven as I called the Town of Brookhaven about the pot holes on Smith Road two weeks ago. I know its not the Town of Islip.

On Thursday 1/21/10, I noticed the pothole On Smith Rd, before Virginia Av was repaired. "Some" of the potholes on Smith Rd, between Cenacle Rd to Midland Blvd were filled in. Notice I said only "some", Smith Rd in Lake Ronkonkoma is still horrible! The potholes going east on Smith Rd were not even filled, just a few going west. The Town of Brookhaven could probably spend a whole day on Smith Rd filling in the potholes.

I haven't been able to take pictures because of the weather we've been having, but the potholes are worse now! There's a huge pothole as you turn onto Smith Road (Lake Ronkonkoma) from Hawkins Ave that was filled last week, but the rain washed it out. The same with the large pothole on Smith Road before Virginia Ave. The potholes are getting bigger and there's more of them on Smith Road. Smith Road is a real mess, from Hawkins Ave to Cenacle Rd in Lake Ronkonkoma!

Smith rd just east of Sachem high school is another disaster!!! Like a mine field. They are just going to create more work if not fixed sooner rather than later!!!! Where is our tax dollars for public safety!!! If the town supervisor lived on this road i can assure you that this road would not look like it does for so long!! Lets get it together.

I had called the Town of Brookhaven again yesterday 3/2/10 to complain about Smith Road in Lake Ronkonkoma. I was told that on Monday they received a complaint and its already in the system. I told her that some areas are so bad with big huge crators that you have to go in the oncoming lane to avoid them. I said they better be out there soon! I originally called Mr Rouse's office but then got the call center! He should try and drive on the road.

3/11/10, I took pictures of the potholes on Smith Rd in Lake Ronkonkoma, but am having trouble downloading them. I took about 50 pictures on 3/10/10! Once I figure out how to download them all, I'll post them.

picture #26, these are just some of the pictures I've taken on 3/10/10. Some of the small potholes started to get filled in. The big craters were not. Since we had rain the past few days, the potholes are worse!

Perhaps John Rouse should drive on Smith Road?

Well, it took 2-3 days, but the highway crew did fix the potholes on Smith Rd (Lake Ronkonkoma). Now lets hope they repave the road in the spring, like they said. The work order number is 09-11274, from 8/11/09. I was told on 11/5/09 that the road needs to be repaved.

The pot holes were finally filled in last week.
