The south shoulder of Shute Lane past Andrew Jackson Elementary is overgrown to over 6-7' tall. I have seen animals come from the weeds and almost cause accidents. This is a very unsafe condition.
Today, 9-14-11 one week after I posted this, I saw a small animal run out of the weeds and a car ahead of me swerved out of the way, and hit another vehicle. Both vehicles went their way - can't figure that out. This would not happen if the weeds were cut back to the fence. I also saw a worker drive a mower who could have taken care of this going down OHB at 8:30 am. He looked down Shute when he passed the light and I thought he would be back, but to no avail. Afterall, this shoulder runs along the boundary of the Hermitage property. When will this be rectified?
