Description
A city bike/walking path crosses Toulon Drive in the middle of the block. The street needs to be painted and marked as a designated pedestrian-crossing to warn drivers. The path is not visible for drivers to allow a safe stopping distance.

Per the traffic division: We do not mark midblock crosswalks since the following is at issue. The crosswalk is very visible to the pedestrian or the bicyclist, they presume the motorist can see as well, but they are at an angle in viewing they cannot see as well at all. Therefore the marked crosswalk tends to be more problematic should those using the path not be as cautious as they should be crossing the street. Toulon is rather a low volume street and we tend not to place signs at such locations. What are the circumstances you are experiencing? Thanks for your help.
