I'd like to mark this as Open again. While Eroman may have seen the car moved when they walked by, i can attest that the car was back yesterday evening and there still this morning at 7:15 when i took my son to day care. I believe the car is used during the day and then parked illegally in the same spot day after day after day. Besides being in a no parking zone, it also does not have a parking permit for that area (either 23 or 24), and has an obscured license plate.

I snapped a few pictures of the vehicle in the same illegal parking spot yesterday (9-14-11) at approximately 6pm, which was after Eroman posted that it had been moved and the issue was closed.

The guy who owns that car is a cop and lives across the street. Ask him

...because nothing instills confidence in, and respect for the police than having them flout the laws that we are all compelled to obey.

Manny - Thanks for the info., but its honestly not that helpful to say he lives across the street. That information will not make it easier for me or anyone else to "ask him" as you suggest.

Also, what exactly should he be asked?

I walked by this morning on the way to dropping my son off at daycare and the car hasnt moved from its illegal spot all weekend. Does anyone know if it's worth contacting the PPD or the PPA? I'm guessing the PPA is hesitant to ticket the car since it says it's on "official police business", but i'm not sure if the PPD wants to deal with parking issues. Any ideas?

Voted to fix! Can you vote to fix one of my issues. Just go to my box at oregon and bigler and 9th and Randolph Sts. Or go near Widner Chester an the airport and find my graffiti issues!

The vehicle was parked there the entire weekend. Can someone please Acknowledge this problem or at least explain why this person is exempt from the several laws he is breaking every single day.

It looks like this has been resolved. The Mercedes is apparently done its offical police business (window sign is gone) and has backed up into a legal spot. I'll still be interested to see if it gets any tickets because it doesnt have a zone parking permit, but hopefully that intersection is a bit safer now.
