Waterway Buoys are not removed. They often get dislodged and go missing after storm events. Weather permitting, staff will be out on a barge next week, to start the replacement of these missing buoys. First trip out will focus on 86th Avenue and south.

Good to see the new buoys,however,the area from The Bilmar well north of 112th ave is yet to be covered. Will that be covered soon? Thank you

Today, I do not have the exact dates. However, the planned next step is one buoy just south of the Sunset Beach Pavillion Jetty and ten buoys from 108th Avenue north to 119th Avenue.

Staffing issues due to Covid and weather conditions affecting use of our barge on the Gulf, have delayed this project completion. The current estimate is mid August.

Just an FYI. About half of the buoys were put in today between 108th and 112th Ave. Thank you.

This is a continuing project. As buoys are lost, staff replaces when they have a list. This previous request had been completed.
