I am still waiting for a reply to my question. It has be 21 days since I first posted. What is going on. Why am I not getting a response.

Thank you for the submission. There are a lot of ongoing construction on Newark Ave and its side streets causing more trucks to use this road. We will follow up with a reply of our recommendations.

Yes I am aware of the construction, MUA & PSE&G issues and that trucks are being forced onto other streets because of street closures but I also think that they are finding that Newark Avenue is an easier route for them. We need signage for trucks over a certain weight and enforcement of that.

Trucks making local stops are not considered truck routes. However, the County is now doing a county wide study and you should fill out their survey, https://www.hcnj.us/trucking-study/ They want to know how trucks have been affecting your community.

I really wish that you hadn't closed this issue but I hope that you see this. Sadly enough you assumed that I was referring to trucks making local stops. I was not. I can tell the difference. I am telling you that very large trucks are snaking through DTJC (Newark, Monmouth, Brunswick & Jersey) on their way in or out of town. Just like cars do just using our road to avoid traffic. They are going to the Holland Tunnel and the NJ Turnpike. Jersey City should really being doing a survey on truck traffic. Thank you for the info on the County Survey.
