I am not sure if this is the area you are referring to? If so- it is on Shore Road, which is a private way.
If it is not the area, could you please give a little more information?

Yes this starts on Lexington and goes across shore road. Shore road area in question is owned by the city of Gloucester. Lexington ave all the way to the ocean across Shore Road is owned by the city. Sean Nolan should be able to answer any questions you have on ownership. Thanks.

Ok, I thought private roads were owned by the abutters. Thank you for the clarification that no one owns private roads.
is the city still patching potholes on private roads if they are small and road isn’t beyond pothole repair? Or is that a thing of the past?
If yes, would this fall under that?

That is not what I said, I said the the City does not own the road or a portion of the road, we are an abuttter just like everyone else.
Private roads are owned by the abutters, the City is an abutter just like everyone else on the road.
Just because we are an abutter does not mean we are soley responsible. We have a shared responsibility just as everyone on the road.

Thank you for the explanation.
Is Gloucester filling potholes on private roads if road is not in bad shape?
Does this section of road qualify to have it’s potholes patched by the city?
I only ask, because there is no need for me to report potholes if they can’t be fixed by the city.
Thank you again Rose for working with me. I appreciate your time.
