Speed limits are too high all along residential areas of Rte 352 including South. Extremely dangerous to anyone trying to enter 352 from side streets. In particular at Johnny's Way and 352 heavy volume and speeds exceeding posted 45 mpg makes it very dangerous.

I say leave well enough alone. Rt 352 is a Major north/south Highway in that part of Chester and Delaware counties. I only wish I could go 45 during rush hour. Usually traffic backs up on Rt353 from the Goshen Rd traffic light to Boot Rd.

The guy that siad "leave well enough alone", I guess you don't live on this road do you? Residents on this road are in danger trying to exit their driveway. Seems like you just think of convenience instead of people lives

Yes, but local interests always collide with motorists' interests and locals often think only of themselves. They also always think the solution to the problem is to lower the posted limit. The 45 limit posting may not be the problem, but people going much faster than that, and in addition not paying attention, texting, and talking on the cell. Also, where there have been accidents, was the problem speeding through traffic, or a careless motorist entering from a driveway or side street? Lowering the speed limit may not be the best solution. Most people drive at the speed they feel safe at anyway, and the speed of 85% of drivers is typically quite safe! Enforce the limit with more police on the route and perhaps provide warning signs and even short areas of lower limits where necessary. These days PennDOT seems to lower limits too easily in response to local interests.

Perhaps whenever the improvements on Rt 252 are ever completed ; then the focus should be on 352 which needs improvements in many areas.

If there is a crosswalk problem, then the best solution would be to put a clear signal on it. Is the crosswalk located where there is adequate site distance? A woman was killed on Paoli Pike where there is a crosswalk between two parks. The problem, other than probable inattention by both parties, is that the crosswalk was located for the convenience of pedestrians rather than for their safety. It is on a curve! Had the crosswalk been properly located, this accident, which has produced a lower speed limit, might never have happened. Signalizing crosswalks where traffic is legitimately moving at a good pace is the best solution, but unfortunately is almost never tried.
